About Bear
🐻 BEAUTIFUL BABY BEAR 🐻
“Howdy! My name is Bear and I am about 7 months old. I have had a bit of a rocky time in my young age having been rescued from a cat colony which was my home from birth. Living behind McDonalds was the best choice my mumma made because at least we got some scraps there. I’m a really shy boy because I had the misfortune of being diagnosed with a skin infection as a kitten, which meant that my foster mum had to give me medicine and a lot of baths each week. That’s not the best thing for a scaredy cat like me, but I tried to be as brave as I could and soldier on through! I have a little sister who looks up to me so that’s pretty important. I spend most of my days hanging out with my foster cat friends and watching the humans do funny things. What I really need is a quiet family to wind down with. Someone who is able to have me in a smaller area like a pet pen for a couple of weeks while I settle into my new pad. Honestly, I just need someone to scoop me up, take me home, and work through the little bit of anxiety I have with me because it’s hard to do that alone. I come a little close for treats when I’m feeling hungry, but with such a big space to run about and a busy foster home I’m still adjusting to everything. Could you give me a chance? The Catters are happy to send me to my new home for a week before you decide to keep me, because they just want me (and you, hopefully!) to be happy.”
Bear can be quite timid when faced with new experiences and environments. We expect him to feel comfortable with children over the age of 10 years who can sit quietly and approach gently while he becomes settled in a new home. We expect a smooth transition moving to a home with other household pets with the right introductions, and we are happy to provide support during this time. Bear will be sent to potential new homes on a one to two week trial after an initial meet and greet before finalising adoption.
