About Tiny
Meet Tiny, the stunning, sleek black beauty who is set to steal your heart. You’ll fall in love with her expressive flippety, floppy ears that seem to have a mind of their own. Tiny has most definitely perfected the art of ear-igami.
Tiny lives for her morning cuddles with you on the bed, and has learnt that she first must be invited into the snuggle zone! Once she’s there, she’s ready for her morning massage.
Being a classic couch potato, Tiny only requires a once daily stretch of the legs and then it’s back to the couch to re-enter the land of nod. We don’t understand why our girl needs so much beauty sleep, as she’s absolutely stunning. When she does snooze, she sleeps with her mouth slightly ajar with her front teeth on display, it’s a big cheesy grin that will really make you giggle.
Although she’s cruisy and snoozy, Tiny will come alive when you prepare her food. You’ll be her audience for her performance of the happy tappy dance for food or treats. Tiny is such a gentle girl too when it comes to taking treats straight from your hand. During her time in foster care, she’s also mastered the stairs!
Whilst Tiny’s white-dipped tail is nearly always in motion, she will need an owner who is willing to continue her positive reinforcement training when it comes to busy streets and loud noises. With time and patience, Tiny’s startle response will dim, and she’ll soon realise the world isn’t such a scary place.
Tiny socialises well with other greyhounds, but she does enjoy her own space and down-time. At social snoot gatherings, she’ll often retreat to her bed. She’s non-responsive to small dogs whilst out on walks, but we would recommend calm, gentle and safe introductions with smaller dog breeds. Tiny is not cat friendly.
Our Tiny darling is ready to take up a big portion of your couch, and take up rent in your heart!

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
