About Betty
Want a girl in your life with legs for days ? What about a cuddle buddy to Netflix and chill with? Betty’s the girl for you! Look, you gotta get in fast — she’s such a catch and has a way to make people fall in love.
Betty’s a low maintenance girl who likes her naps - if you’re busy, she’ll to nap all day. When you’re up and about, she’d love to join you on a stroll to explore parks and cafes (Betty loves walks). Betty would prefer to be next to you all day, but if you need to work to bring home the bacon, Betty is a very reasonable girlfriend. Betty can be the “stay-at-home dog”; but you’ll need to slowly build up her tolerance for time alone. Currently, Betty sleeps overnight alone fine (8hrs), and is used to being home alone for around 3 hours. With enrichment treats and a good routine, we can slowly increase that.
Betty is super adaptable, and can live in most types of houses or apartments as long as she gets 2 x 15-30min walk a day.
Betty is great with calm and respectful dogs, and currently lives with a toy poodle 1/5th her weight. She is a gentle creature so doesn’t like overly boisterous dogs. Betty doesn’t mind if you have another dog - she’s been great with her foster brother despite the size difference. She’s also happy being a solo dog — She’s a supermodel in a dog’s body so definitely prefers human company more.
Betty only gets a bit boisterous when you first come home (because she’s so happy to see you!) or if you whip out the leash for a walk — but overall she’s a very gentle and sweet soul. She can live in a home with kids as long as they’re also gentle with her, and are aware of her size.
Betty is ready to settle down and have a family of her own. If you’re also ready for a committed long term relationship, Betty would love to hear from you and grab a puppuchino. Word of warning though, once you meet Betty, you’ll fall head over heels for her.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. To apply for one of our wonderful hounds, we need to know more about you and your home.
