Aman is a medium sized dog that is still a little nervous at most things in the big wide world. Aman is looking for a home with another dog and calm, patient humans who would like to continue his training.
Aman came into care very timid, very scared and he has improved so much in the past weeks. We have noticed that he thrives with another pup to play with. He has met and played politely with a smaller female and a much bigger male dog (46kg). Aman really shows his true personality in the presence of another dog.
Aman is one year old and is starting to play with anything chewable - balls, squeakers, rope toys, sticks. You name it, he'll chew it. He has not been destructive to any indoor belongings, but once things are in the yard they are his. He is still cautious playing in your presence but as the trust builds you get to see more and more of his cheeky self.
Aman is responsive to his name and will come when called, he will also respond to being told no. We are currently working on sit, drop and stay. These are all new commands and being only one year old, he is responding very well. Aman has the potential to be an amazing companion; his temperament is so gentle that he is willing to please. He will just need someone who has the time and patience to continue working with him to be more confident.
Aman walks really well on the lead and we have been working on this daily. Originally, the lead and walking out of the yard/house was too overwhelming so we have come a long way in that regard. Aman likes to stroll and sniff and will spend most of the time walking beside you and very rarely pulls on the lead.
Aman has been around children 8yo and 11yo and was not jumping or pulling on the lead, he was calm and sat down so they could pat him. He has not been tested with cats, however, he is very gentle and easily trained so it could potentially work if you have the time.
If Aman sounds like your dog, please apply using the link. This beautiful boy canāt wait to meet you!
