Please read Fir’s profile carefully and only apply if you meet all the requirements as she is a very sensitive & shy girl who will not be suitable for all homes.

Fir is a 1 yrs old Chi X Maltese X Malamute(who weighs about 9kg) who is very shy when meeting new people. Due to this, her new family may need to do several meet & greets at her foster carers’ house prior to her being adopted. She is toilet trained, cat & dog friendly and loves her soft toys.

Fir will require a home with ALL of the following:
1. A home with another small, confident, similar age & active dog. Fir will get her confidence from this dog and will be so much happier. Fir has met medium & large dogs & is scared of them.
2. A good sized yard. She needs this to exercise in(with the other dog) as she is not keen on going for a walk. This could change as she settles in & becomes happy in her new family. Fir is not suitable for apartment/unit living as she can bark at strange noises.
3. No small children as loud noises can upset her & she will bark. Kids 16 plus would be fine
4. Fir does not like to be picked up but once she knows you she will happily jump on your lap and be patted when you sit down on the lounge.
5. A family that will be very patient & who will let Fir settle into her new family at her pace.
6. A family that will allow her to sleep inside.
