About Spike
There is nothing “spikey” about our sweet boy Spike! Spike is a darling little guy who lives up to his breeds description of being loving, totally devoted to his humans and cat like.
Spike has been through a lot of changes and has taken his time to settle into his foster family, but once his foster ma won him over there was no going back! Spike will stick by her side no matter where she’s going or who else is following her!
Spike does coexist with other dogs and cats who aren’t too crazy well, but would prefer his humans to be all his so he doesn’t have to worry about tripping over any other paws when trying to score some pats.
Spike is completely crate trained and will sleep perfectly in his crate overnight, house trained and has been working hard on basic commands to impress his new family 💕. He also walks well on a lead and takes all direction from his humans.
Spike has shown interest in the cats toys (when he thinks nobody is looking and his humans don’t need him by their side) so some soft small toys wouldn’t go amiss 😜.
Spike has shown some nervous and resource guarding behaviour, but with persistence and structure he is showing great promise in overcoming these.
Spike is looking for a family with older teenage kids or no children. An active home who is committed to continuing to provide spike with training, enrichment and boundaries to help him continue to grow and develop into the confident, handsome dog we see him becoming!
