Winnie

Please meet WINNIE, a pedigree female Irish Terrier bred in Sweden and imported here as a youngster. She is a retired Champion Show Dog and breeder.

Irish Terriers are one of the oldest terrier breeds, believed to have been around for 2,000 years. They are spirited, active and loyal dogs, full of character and very devoted to their human leaders.

Although dog-friendly, Winnie is possessive of her humans. She will not tolerate sharing them with other canines so must go to an only-dog home, preferably where her family are home most of the time.

She thrives on human company and now that her breeding and Show days are over, it's time for her to enjoy retirement as a much-loved family pet.

Winnie is untested with children and cats. As such, she would make an ideal companion for a retired person or couple with no children or other pets.

Winnie is very quiet and may have been debarked.

Irish Terriers are minimal shedders. They have a hard double coat that is rather easy to maintain. A weekly brush to remove dead hair and a bath every couple of weeks is all that's required.
