About Toby
Hi, I'm Toby and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I like both friendly male and female dogs but I can be fussy on who I like to make friends with.

• No young children as when I'm excited, I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & livestock
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
My best features:
• LOVE people
• Very playful
• Social butterfly
• Gentle & placid
• Wiggle butt
• Housetrained
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog. I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this.
• I can be a bit bouncy - training should stop this
Medical: I have been diagnosed with arthritis which will require me to be on medication for the rest of my life to ensure I'm always feeling comfortable. This medication is estimated to cost approximately $1.50 per day. There is a letter from my vet in the photos on this post. Please feel free to show this to your current vet for the advice if you are considering adopting me.

Due to Corona Virus restrictions Shoalhaven Animal Shelter is open by appointment only. To meet one of our pets please call prior to arrange an appointment time. 44293410
For information regarding any of our animals please call Shoalhaven Animal Shelter on 02 44293410 and talk with any of the staff regarding adoption process and fees. Alternatively please visit us at 19 Nowra Hill Road Nowra Hill ( Just off BTU Rd) we are open 9am-4pm everyday.
All dogs and cats are Microchipped and de-sexed before leaving our shelter.
*** NOTE: Animals can be placed on hold for travel time ONLY. If you are interested in a particular animal please contact us on 02 4429 3410 prior to leaving to ensure the animal is still available for adoption and we will pop them on hold until your arrive.
