About Rosie ~ 1yr Old Cattle Dog X(On Trial 5/4/21)
Rosie is a 1 year old Cattle Cross, a beautiful girl full of life with plenty of love to give!
Rosie makes an attentive companion, happy to be your shadow and follow you around the house or yard, watching on with curiosity. She is a medium sized girl, with a medium-high energy level that would be most suited to a home with another dog with a similar energy level.
Rosie can be left for periods of time, however she does tend to become anxious without her people around, so it is important she has toys for stimulation and ideally another dog for company (in this case she would be suitable for full time workers). Her ideal exercise regime would be a 30 minute (or more) walk daily, with some backyard fetch. She walks well on a harness, however will pull when she is excited.
Rosie is most active of a morning and afternoon, sleeping in the middle of the day and content to spend most of the time outside, however it is important she is allowed to sleep inside and be included in family activities as she thrives on interaction with her people.
She is great in the car and in social outings, doing well socialising and playing with other dogs.
Rosie has picked up some cheeky attention seeking behaviours, like licking, light nipping and jumping, so she needs continued firm guidance to discourage these behaviours. She has improved whilst being in foster care and it is likely she exhibits these behaviours when she is not getting enough attention and stimulation. Whilst she has proven to be good with small children, she can knock over little ones when she is excited, so a home with children over 10 would be best. She has a short coat, however does shed and will require regular brushing to help with this.
