About Elliott ~ Staffy X Puppy(on trial 10/4/21)
Would you like to be the happy ending to a puppies story? Once upon a time there were 10 puppies. At about 2 weeks old these puppies came into DRN after their mum ran out of milk to feed them.
At DRN they found 3 fairy foster mums who spent lots of time bottle feeding, loving and caring for them. Even those these fairy foster mums did everything they could, 3 of these babies grew early wings and left in their first week of care.
The other 7 babies battled on. Having very low immune systems they fought off stomach, skin & bone infections & with the dedication of their fairy foster mums & DRN vets are now ready for adoption. They are strong & playful pups but are very precious to their fairy foster parents so will need homes where their new families understand that diet & environment are essential to their future health & wellbeing
Elliott is a 10 week old boy staffy x pup who is now available for adoption. He gets on well with other dogs and is use to both inside and outside environments in which to run and play in so will need access to both. As he has been closely hand raised in a home environment, he may need someone home more often than not.
Elliott loves human company, He will quite happily snuggle up on your lap, but also loves his outside environment so please no appartment or courtyard applications as he will be a medium to large dog so will need plenty of space.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All puppies will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training to ensure proper boundaries and routines are established. This will ensure that you get the best family member/friend possible.
Elliott will be needing another medium sized doggy friend as a teacher, companion and playmate to go home with. Because of his difficult beginning we will be looking for companions dogs that are not loud, bossy or overly boisterous but more quiet and gentle in nature. He is currently living with other foster dogs and puppies so is use to having friends to play with.
Elliott needs to be welcomed inside when people are home, and to also sleep inside at night. He will be a wonderful family dog but will not be suitable for children under 12 years of age. Good sturdy fencing is a must, rural fencing will not be considered.
As Elliott is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a local vet for desexing when he is approximately 5 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
