About Duke
I'm Duke and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• Rides in the car
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I am a clever, young and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• Being a social and playful pupper I would love to go to doggy daycare
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & livestock
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
My best features:
• LOVE people
• I appear housetrained
• Happy to hang out with other dogs
• Very playful
• I can sit, shake hands & stay
• I love toys
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this

Medical notes
- Previous eye trauma to my left eye resulting in no/restricted vision in that eye. The vets have advised that because i am in no pain i don't need to have it removed at this stage, however my new family will need to monitor my eye. If in the future it starts causing me pain or discomfort it may need to be removed or have further treatment. I am currently on eye drops which the vets think have slightly improved my reactiveness to light & eye pressure test. If you are interested in meeting/adopting me please contact my vet clinic - Berry Vets on 02 4464 1899 to discuss in further detail, alternatively you can call the shelter on 02 4429 3410.
- I am currently being treated for an ear infection
