SAFE Bunbury (Saving Animals From Euthanasia)
Jimbo is a beautiful, medium haired, ginger tabby boy. He has not had the easiest start, having lacked human contact for the first few weeks of his life, which has now seen him a little wary of people at first. His foster carer has worked hard to give him as much attention and love as possible, to help him settle into family life. His new family will need to be understanding and patient, letting him settle into his new home. In return they will be rewarded by having this lovely boy become part of the family. He has already improved and will come and sit on the sofa next to his carer.
Jimbo is very playful and loves food! He is fostered in a home with dogs, other cats, and teenage children and has slowly become used to living with them all. With a gradual, patient introduction he should be able to share space happily with other pets and older kids, or would be perfect in an adult home. He is litter trained.
Adoption fee includes vet check, first F3 vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchip including the transfer of ownership, and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age (see list below).
*This kitten may require further vaccination/s to complete the vaccination course. These will be at the cost of the new owner (not included in the adoption fee).
To apply to adopt, please complete a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form via our website. You will be advised if your chosen kitten is still available and then put in contact with the carer for a chance to ask further questions. If a meet-and-greet is then arranged, we will email the adoption paperwork and payment instructions to you prior to this. Please note payment must be made before adoption trial starts and we are unable to take cash payment.
Our adoption process includes a two-week trial to ensure your chosen pet is the right fit for your home. After a successful trial period, SAFE Bunbury will arrange transfer of ownership on your new pet's microchip and email copies of their vet records out to you.
As this kitten is under 6 months old, one of the following approved vet clinics should be selected by the adopter to arrange for his/her sterilisation by the age of 6 months. The sterilisation surgery is included in the adoption fee:
Blair Street Veterinary Hospital, Bunbury
Busselton Veterinary Hospital, Busselton
Ninth Street Vet Clinic, Harvey
Halls Head Small Animal Clinic, Halls Head
Caryn Vet Hospital, Edgewater
Challenger Vet, Kwinana
Kingsley Veterinary Hospital, Kingsley
Ocean Keys Vet, Clarkson
South Metropolitan TAFE Vet Clinic, Bentley (during semester)
Swan Veterinary Hospital, Midvale
Albany Vet Hospital, Albany
Swans Vet Service, Esperance
Please ask us for more information on arranging sterilisation of your pet if you live outside the Bunbury area.
