About Rocky
My name is Rocky
I’m slightly ‘well loved’ as you see
What I really want from life
Is a brand new family
I’ve been on a diet
And the weight is dropping fast
Gobbling down my food real quick
That’s all in the past
My favourite thing to do
Is sleep beside you tightly
I Just love to be near you
Morning, noon and night-ly
I came from a pack of eight
But don’t mind being alone
Short periods at home
I’m even okay on my own
I’m not a barker, not loud
Not sneaky or even naughty
I just love life and looking at you
Could do it till I’m forty
Foster mum notes – Rocky is the perfect dog, he just happily sits next to you (or on your lap) napping or following you around watching what you do. He’s just catching on to sit and stay. I think he is the perfect lap dog and just loves life. He’s not into vigorous exercise, so would ideally suit an elderly person or a family that doesn’t have small children as he doesn’t like being startled (who does!!). He hasn’t been tested with cats that I’m aware of but I don’t think he’d mind them or another small pet.
Medical notes
Six year old Rocky is a healthy boy with his only real problem being obesity! He has started on his weight loss journey and has lost 450 grams, and now weighs 6 kg. He needs someone who can continue to help him watch his waistline over the coming months until he gets down to a much healthier weight. Often carrying extra weight can affect the joints, but in Rocky’s case he’s been lucky and shows no sign of leg problems.
He is desexed, microchipped and up to date with C5 vaccinations. He has recently had a dental and had 3 extractions and a good teeth clean. He has a small fatty lump (lipoma)on his chest which has been tested and is safe.
He is up to date with flea, tick, intestinal worm and heart worm prevention.
