On Hold
About Roxy ~ beautiful senior cat
Whilst I sit and write this, Roxy is laying with me on the bed. Half of her body is on me and her chin is on my chest, her eyes closed, purring and she is asleep. But most importantly, she is happy.
At 16 years of age, a cat should never be looking for their next home but Roxy wasn’t given a choice in that. Luckily, some wonderful human beings intervened and Roxy is still alive, healthy and now happy! It’s only fitting that we find her the most awesome home in the whole wide world for this precious girl’s last years of life.
So, let me tell you a bit about Roxy. She looks like a Koala Bear with her soft, luxurious coat and she has a little bit of extra padding around her waist. She loves her food but more than anything, she LOVES people and having company! If you want someone to hang out with through the day (and night) she is there! Right next to you, sleeping up against you, happy to be patted and just hanging with you! She is by far, the most affectionate cat I have ever had in foster care. And she loves everyone! She likes to give head butts, take pats and get tummy tickles! She just can’t give enough love and weaves her way into your heart very quickly! She is very easy to look after and very low maintenance!
Roxy would love to have a home of her own in retirement where she can relax without any other animals (although she has lived with multiple cats in the past). She would love someone home more often than not because she just loves having you there and has so much love to give you! A kind, caring and loving owner that will be able to look after her for her last years of her life! Roxy has always been an indoor cat and must remain indoors for the rest of her life.
Roxy has been vet checked and her bloods came back all clear but due to her age and being overweight, she does suffer arthritis which we are currently giving her pain relief for.
If you can give Roxy a wonderful, retirement home please apply here https://form.jotform.co/93127959159875. For any questions not covered by this profile, please e-mail catsandkittensdrn@gmail.com
Roxy is located in the Newcastle area. Her adoption fee is waived due to her age but will only go to a home that can afford any veterinary treatment she may need in the future. Roxy is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and she has been treated for worms and fleas.
Medical notes
Roxy is a senior girl and although her adoption fee has been waived due to her age, her new owners will need to be in the financial position to cover any vet costs that can pop up with senior animals.
