About George
Hi SA meet George!🐶🐾
George is 9 years old. He is a lovely man with a very gentle nature. George has had his vet work complete and is now ready to find his forever home.💯
George has lost a lot of his eyesight but can still get around the house and loves to go on walks, George is on tacrolimus drops to help keep the pigment in his eye at bay and help with his tear production. He also has lost most of his hearing and there will be ongoing ear cleaning necessary. 👀 👂
However, given this he still loves to get around and settled quickly into his foster family’s house, especially after he memorised the layout.
He prefers to be close to humans, but if we you’re not around for short period of time, he will happily follow his foster siblings around and snuggle in with them.
The perfect companion dog for George would be a small desexed dog that is calm and will be patient with him.🐕🐾
George needs a calm household where someone is home most of the time. George loves to cuddle and be touched. Your house would need to be uncluttered and single story with limited steps. He is fine with the small number of steps, but it is really important that he can feel where the edge of each step is.🐾
Despite the lack of hearing and vision, George's favourite things to do, apart from cuddles, is going for walks and rides in the car, he loves getting outside, feeling the wind in his fur and smelling the scents in the air. 🚗
George is an inside dog but will need access to outside to toilet. He sleeps in his foster family’s bedroom right next to the bed where he feels safe and he knows that his humans are close by. George very rarely snores and never barks, so having him sleep near you is not going to keep you up at night.🛏
