About 2695 - Mandolin
šŖš¼ MEET MANDOLIN š¼šŖ
Hey, Iām Mandolin. Iām a sweet but shy girl, and, while I still donāt quite get these humans, I do quite like watching them to see all the funny things they get up to. Iām getting braver and braver every day though, and itās funny to watch my Foster Mum pat everyone else and see how loudly they purr. Iām sure in time Iāll get there too and see what all this fuss is about.
My life before I came into care wasnāt so easy, so Iām still trying to learn to trust. Itās not easy for a girl like me, but Iām getting there. When the Angels rescued me, I was living on the streets with my two babies, Banjo and Carimba. Banjo found his fur-ever home but Iām still here with Carimba, though Iāll be happy when she finds a good home to go to too. I think Iād be better suited to a nice new home with a friendly cat who can teach me the lay of the land and help me to come out of my shell, anyway. Sheās a good kid, I know sheāll be fine out there in the world too!
Nature
Mandolin is still very timid and shy, but sheās finding her feet and learning to enjoy the little luxuries in the life of a house cat. She loves food and cat naps outdoors in the big cat run where she can soak up the sunshine whenever she likes without having to worry about all the scary stuff on the streets. She doesnāt like to get too close to people but likes watching all the other cats in her foster home line up to get their pets and scratches and is happy to watch the humans do all their funny human things from afar. With a bit more time and love and a super friendly cat pal, Mandolin is sure to learn that pats are good and these funny humans can be trusted.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Mandolin likes the other cats in her foster home and doesnāt really seem too bothered by the dogs who hang out on the other side of the wire of the cat run in the garden. Theyāre pretty chill and like to keep their distance too though, so she might be ok with laid back dogs and slow introductions. It would be good to have a friendly cat pal who trusts humans and can show Mandolin the ropes though.
There are older children in Mandolinās foster home, but she just tends to stay back and watch from afar. She also really doesnāt like loud noises or sudden movements, so would prefer a mature home with older kids or no kids.
Likes / Dislikes
Mandolin adores being outside in the cat run and spends most of her time out there watching the world go by, though she is happy to have safe and warm places to cuddle up inside when itās dark and cold or rainy outside. She loves breakfast and dinner time and likes treats too! She also likes things to be chill and calm, with no loud noises or sudden movements and will run away and hide if she doesnāt feel safe.
My PURR-fect home would be a quiet and laid back home with a person or people who can give me lots of unconditional love, space, patience and time to help me come out of my shell and be my best cat self. Iād prefer a home with friendly cat(s) and older kids or no kids, an outdoor cat run and lots of good comfy hiding spots where I can watch the world go by.
