About Bear
Are you searching for your 'other half'? Are you looking for your ‘shadow’?
Perhaps a Labradoodle who will follow you everywhere you go?
Bear is a beautiful gentle 10 year old Labradoodle who loves to be around his humans, he is quiet, calm and loving.
Bear is looking for that family / person who will love that and more!
Bear is the ultimate shadow to his human companions - he is a very quiet well behaved boy who does suffer some anxiety if left for periods of time home alone.
Bear is most happy when being near his humans – they can be working, reading, folding the washing and he is happy to just be near – either watching or snoozing.
Bear loves his food - and has not met a meal his foster mum makes him or gives him he doesn't like - same for treats!!
Bear is currently in care with a small breed dog who he was initially unsure of – she is a very calm quiet dog as well so a happy comradery has been established – Bear is a quiet gentle boy who does not like bouncy or dominant dogs in his face – any other dog he would live with would need to be very calm and quiet as well.
Bear has not been tested with cats but as his foster mum says nothing really seems to bother him so he should be fine with cats as well
Bear is house trained.
Bear loves to go for a walk daily – even twice if you want too – he will happily keep you company. One of Bear’s favorite things while working is to find tennis balls – he will happily collect them in his mouth and bring them home.
Bear loves to play with his soccer ball and will happily take it back to the correct spot when he is finished playing.
Bear is not used to kids under the age of 10 and would find any loud, screaming or running kids to be a bit intimidating so we would be looking for a home with kids over the age of 10.
Bear has a beautiful shiny coat - and that means yep you guessed it grooming and regular upkeep - so please be mindful if applying for him - this will be a must!
Just need to reiterate to you that he will be your shadow he will follow you EVERYWHERE - he loves nothing more than being with you - lying next to you on the couch (he does enjoy a mink blanket to sleep on lol)
Loud noises and sharp movements do still startle him but as he settles and gets more confidence in himself that does ease.
So if you think Bear sound like your type of fur friend please send in an application to the rescue!
** Please note applications will close Tuesday 16th March 2021 at 5.30pm

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
