About Rory O’Shannassy
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:

Victorian Dog Rescue has a six-week full refund policy and a lifetime takeback guarantee that includes 50 per cent of the adoption fee refunded.
Rory is that perfect mix of fun, playful, cheeky, gentle and cuddly.
Rory is fun loving and plays happily with his siblings. He has energy to burn and loves to run and jump and is quite independent. He is cheeky and is usually up to some mischief.
Then, when playtime is over, he will look at you with big kitten eyes, a sideways tilt of his head and a message so easily read – cuddle me? This little darling will climb up on to your lap, purr away contentedly and snooze off. On occasions when he goes to sleep in his cat bed, he has all manner of funny sleeping positions.
As soon as any person sits down, Rory is the first one into their lap – he just loves cuddles. He is outgoing and friendly and does not mind sharing his cuddles.
Rory likes to let you know vocally when he would like some attention or to welcome you into a room; a gentle and consistent meow will be heard. It is soft and not annoying at all. He also makes the cutest little squeak when it is time to use the litterbox, a skill he has completely mastered.
Rory needs a feline friend and will be rehomed with either his beautiful Mum, Niamh, one of his siblings or a family, already having another playful, friendly, cat. Rory isn't too keen on being in the company of dogs. Rory is very social and is looking for a home with lots of interaction and plenty of room to move and play. He will not be suited to a home with lots of things on display - he will simply investigate and knock them off the shelf!
Rory is only suitable for the family who is willing to risk losing their heart to this handsome boy.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
