About Gingernut
Hold onto your hearts because I am half smooch machine, half warrior - all rolled into one perfectly imperfect, sweet little package. My past is unknown, but it's clear to see that it hasn't been easy. I am only 2 years young but my petite body sometimes struggles with things that other bodies don't, making me appear much older than my years. X-rays have shown no injuries and I seem to feel no pain, but it's been quite the fight for me to get to this place where I can search for a family of my own. As well as my old man legs and my underweight body, I was diagnosed FIV positive and cryptorchid, which meant desexing for me would be a very big deal. Would I even survive the surgery? Should I be left as an entire male? Would anyone want me as a lean mean spraying machine?! After much debating, the Mini Rescue team decided I was worth the gamble... and here I am.
Ginger-No-Nuts! 😁
Like I said - I am a warrior.
I don't get into the cheeky kind of mischief that other cats my age do - no counter surfing or climbing up curtains for me, but I do melt my way into your lap and your arms for all the cuddles I can possibly get. Have kids? I love them! Don't have kids? No problem, I will just love you! All I want at the end of my day is the love. All of it. Bucket loads and then some. Pick me up, carry me around, talk to me and let me be your little buddy. I'm low maintenance and happy just having someone close by. I am so wonderful that my foster family really wanted to keep me for themselves - but, oh, I forgot to mention one teeny tiny little quirk - the other 4 leggeds in our house... they terrify me.
It's not my fault.
They have loud barks and bad breath and they're always trying to steal my food. If I could make them disappear, I would be set. But I can't. So I'm on the look out for a family of my own where no one has loud barks and no one steals my food (I can probably overlook bad breath).
Do you have a dog-less house with oodles of love to spare?
