About Bronco
Bronco is such a loving and gentle boy. He came to us in a rough way so from day one he has only wanted our love and attention. He can be quite energetic and playful when he wants to but most of the time, he wants our love and cuddles. We often just cuddle on the kitchen floor for a couple of minutes, he will lay his head on my shoulder and let me pat him. He is very smart and has quickly been toilet trained in a matter of days. He is very responsive when we call for him and he will sit and stay for his treats, he is very smart.
Bronco loves our company and I wouldn’t suggest him being alone for a long time as he does cry and whine for the couple hours that you’re out of the house. So he is best suited to someone who is home most of the day. He loves being around a number of people so a family is the best for him, he gets so playful and happy when there’s a group around to share the love.
Bronco was petrified of his leash and collar and it is still a work in progress. He does get scared when he see’s them but once they’re on and we are out the door he is a happy boy. He really enjoys his walks and loves meeting new people on the way. A walk is important for him as he does thrive on meeting new people and being in nature.
Bronco is great in the car and travels well considering if he’s attached to the seat belt otherwise he’s happy to jump up on your lap in the middle of the freeway.
Bronco sleeps very well but he is extremely stubborn and will want to sleep right beside you all night. He is happy to sleep on his bed beside our bed however will jump up in the middle of the night and stay there so he has to have a spot on your bed. He cannot sleep outside and doesn’t like being outside in the dark.
Bronco is a vacuum when it comes to his eating and is happy with everything and anything. He is currently on his dry food but he does enjoy fresh meats and vegetables every now and then. He has fattened up a little bit compared to when he first came to us which is great. I do leave his food out during the day and he likes to graze on it, so he doesn’t really have a set schedule with his food.
Bronco is not aggressive at all and Is very welcoming to our human friends and family. However he does get anxious and nervous around other dogs so we do not recommend him living with another dog. He can be socialized with other dogs as long as there are eyes kept on them and they are not left alone because again, he does get anxious and scared.
Bronco does get mouthy and sometimes a bit boisterous and can jump up onto us when hes so excited and this is why he’s not suited to a home with younger kids as he can get a bit full on at times. Although it is all done in love it won’t be great around younger kids.
Bronco is a loving boy and all he wants is acceptance and affection. He is best suited to a family lifestyle with someone who is home most of time and can give him the utmost attention. An only dog home with no young kids is best for him. He doesn’t need a lot of backyard space but a good size for when he gets into his moments and wants to run around. Someone who is willing to walk him every day and continue his training in all aspects. He’s a well rounded obedient boy and will make any home complete
