About Albus DL2629
Look at those puppy-dog eyes!
Albus may be a bit timid and unsure of you at first, but within minutes he’ll be on your lap for cuddles and belly rubs. Albus will need you to calmly and patiently introduce him to his new world - it may take him some time to warm up to new people and new surroundings, but it’s a real pleasure to see him come out of his shell and enjoy his new home. Overall, he’s done wonderfully in taking all these recent changes in his stride.
Albus is house trained and has been responding well to training at home. He is very gentle when taking food. He also sits and comes when called, but he hasn’t quite grasped these skills while on walks or outside the house. Albus loves his daily walks – and likes to have a sniff / play with other dogs he meets on his walks. Albus can be a bit reactive at other dogs if they are barking or being aggressive towards him. He can be quite strong on the lead so you should be physically strong and must commit to working on lead training with him.
Albus loves being around his humans and has chewed shoes when left at home for long, but some chew toys and toys that are designed for some mental stimulation to fight boredom seems to have done the trick! Albus would love a household who is home part-time, but could do a full-time working household as long as he’s included in everything once you’re home, is given some chew toys and mental stimulation during the day, and has daily walks with his humans. Albus also loves to snuggle on the couch after a long day.
He has not been tested with children or cats at this stage.
If you can help us get this lovely little man out of the pound and into a loving home, please email DFLadoption@gmail.com today to apply.
