Hi I’m Axel, I ’m a Dalmatian Cross , I just had my 1st birthday at the end of last month. The vet told my foster dad I look a bit like a Staffy.

My dad recons I should be called shadow, because I’m always by his side whenever he is home, I even wait outside his workshop when he’s making all that noise I don’t really like.

The other day the pest man came, he had a water bottle on his back that made a noise, I had to follow him and make sure he did not leave that behind, I get nervous if I see new things sometimes. I liked the pest man though, he smelt like weird animals from his farm and he was friendly.

Nobody seems to mind what my breeding is, I’m very quiet, I rarely bark. I love cuddles and pats.
I’m pretty tidy too, I go a long way away to go potty.

I get spoilt, I sleep in my Dad’s bathroom, which I love, I have never had an accident, but my foster mum or Dad take me out morning and night (My Mum says I sleep in their bedroom often too, I like to be close, even though I can see my dad from the bathroom.)

I understand no, and go away and sit, but sometimes I don’t feel like sitting, but at meal time, I sit real still until I’m allowed to eat.

We have frogs in our backyard, My Human brother says, I just like to look at them, they squeak when I get too close to them.

I love my food, I will eat ANYTHING, even vegies.

The vet told my dad, I should be a support dog, because I’m so nice.

I like to ride in the car, I can jump in the back of Dad’s wagon in one jump.
Dad says I’m smart too, I mastered the doggy door in an hour flat…

I went to the beach two times, I liked it, but I’m not sure about swimming, but I can do it. I do love water, bathing is ok by me.
The only naughty things I do is, I’m not good on a lead as there are far too many good smells out there, and I must sniff them all, I’m also keen to meet every dog that’s within range.
And I like to pinch personal items like thongs and the occasional piece of clothing, But I only chew the thongs.
