Ruby

I'm Ruby and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• Rides in the car
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I HAVE LOTS & LOTS OF ENERGY SO AN ACTIVE FAMILY IS A MUST!
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Any other animals as I like to have my family all to myself & will get jealous around other animals. I am ok to socialize when out & about but MUST be the only animal at home!
• Small children due to my rough play

My best features:
• LOVE people
• VERY playful
• VERY active
• I can sit
• Highly food motivated
• I walk well on lead but benefit from walking in a harness
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog. I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended.
• I require house/potty training.
• I was surrendered because I was jealous of the other dogs in my home! I don't mind socializing with other dogs when out & about HOWEVER I MUST be the ONLY dog in the family!
• I am scared of thunder/fireworks etc. so must have a safe space inside when these events are occurring.
