About Missy
*In foster care in Strathfield, Sydney*
While Missy will first catch your eye with her stunning tortoiseshell coat, it's her impossibly sweet nature that will steal your heart!
Rescued from the streets with her four kittens, this little darling has been living in foster care since December 2020. She's quickly warmed up to the luxuries of indoor life – her favourites being lots of delicious food, and a special 'cat room' full of cat trees and toys! - and she's looking for a wonderful indoor-only home where she can feel safe and secure for the rest of her life.
Missy is a classic 'people cat' who enjoys meeting new humans and hanging out with other cats. She has a gorgeous chirping voice and loves to follow you around, seeking pats and belly rubs for as long as you'll give them! As the leader of the Foster Cat Pack she always has a little crew trotting along behind her :) She'll also be your very own purrsonal alarm clock, hopping into your bed in the morning meowing for breakfast!
Like all Maggie's pets, Missy is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with a wonderful person, couple or older family who'll be patient and kind as I find my paws and settle in. Snuggling is my favourite thing in the world, so once I'm comfortable you won't be able to keep me away from you!
It's fair to say that I crave attention and love, and often fret when I'm alone - so somebody who works from home, is home a lot during the day or is retired will be an ideal match. I'm occasionally bothered by loud noises and sudden movements, so will be best suited to a home with older kids or without children.
Another friendly kitty to keep me company would also be a dream come true!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I might be a mum, but I’m still just a kitten myself - so I definitely like to play, even getting the zoomies on occasion! Generally though, my personality is very low-key. If I'm not batting my toys around or chasing shadows, you'll find me lounging on the couch next to my humans or snoozing on my cat tree.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I've quite enjoyed the company of older teenagers who were gentle and let me do my own thing. I'd definitely prefer a home with kids who will be cautious and understanding of my needs, and not be too rough or loud with me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I've adored my feline friends in foster care! I've been lucky enough to live with eight other kitties (four being my own babies). I haven’t met any dogs yet, so it's hard to say whether I'd get on with them.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
