About Roan
Roan is ready for meets and greets
Roan meaning "Little Red One" is only a young boy at about 13 months old.
A cute little redhead with a gorgeous little beard, we suspect he is possibly red kelpie x border terrier.
He is a gentle soul who just loves human company and gets along well with other dogs.
He is absolutely relishing every second of his brand-new life of freedom.
He adores toys of any description and is a joy to see him bound, play and run like the puppy he is.
Roan is on the smaller size of medium, weighing 16.1kg and standing around 53cm at the shoulder.
He is a quiet boy but does have a strong personality so any doggo brothers and sister would need to be confident pups.
Roan had no obedience or house training when he became part of A Mini Rescue's family just 2 weeks ago.
He now knows his name, sit, come, no and bedtime.
He uses a dog door confidently and toilets outside.
A quick learner who is incredibly food motivated, he will really need ongoing training as well as physical and mental stimulation to manage that mix of kelpie and terrier smarts and energy.
He is well behaved inside the home and sleeps inside quietly at night.
He will investigate benches if anything is left out to tempt him – as we said he LOVES food and snacks
He is not destructive, nor a barker.
He is not a digger or a jumper and he does not pull washing off the line either !
Roan walks nicely on a lead and travels well in the car.
He just loves feeling the wind on his face out the window.
At this stage Roan lacks life experience and confidence although he is improving everyday.
He is not particularly fond of the vacuum but isn't afraid of storms and is just fine around a ride-on lawn mower.
He is a very affectionate boy who does get a bit whiny when left alone.
Building his self confidence is improving this situation and his new family would ideally have lots of time to spend with him moving forward.
He is untested with cats or pocket pets but with his breed mix we would probably say best avoided.
Roan is vaccinated, desexed, wormed and flea and tick treated.
His adoption fee is $525 and he is in foster care at Ridgewood on the Sunshine Coast.

Adoption details
The adoption fee includes desexing, microchipping, first vaccination, worming and flea treatment, current at time of adoption.
Our cats are to be indoor only, we figure this is a big step towards keeping them out of the pound!
Our dogs are to be inside/outside dogs, allowed to be inside at night and in poor weather conditions, included in the family, not left in the yard.
Adoption process includes a meet and greet followed by a home visit ( in your home) by one of our team. Photo ID will also be required upon application.
