Victorian Dog Rescue has a six-week full refund policy and a lifetime takeback guarantee that includes 50 per cent of the adoption fee refunded.
Please note: Speck will be rehomed with another cat/kitten for company. Poor Speck spent from when he was six weeks old till now without ever meeting another cat. But Speck is settling amazingly with the other dogs and cats that he shares his foster home with.
Hi my name is Speck but there is nothing small about me. I have a big personality, a big purr and big hair. Personally I think they should call me Mr Big. I’m just as handsome as him. If you ask me I would say I’m even more handsome.
When I purr it’s like a Diesel engine and it doesn’t take a lot to get me going. Usually I just see you and the purring begins. I’m just happy to be around my people. I enjoy pats and love being in your arms.
I like animals too and am currently sharing my foster home with other cats and small dogs. I follow the resident male cat everywhere. He’s teaching me all the important cat things like where sit in front of the cupboard to meow for food, how to sneak up on the dogs and pounce on their tails and which windows sills are best for sun baking. I would love another animal friend in my forever home too so I don’t get lonely.
Sometimes I get a bit excited when I play and will bite a little. Because of this I’m best suited to a home without young children. My foster carer is showing me other ways to play and I’m learning quickly.
I’ve got a lot of hair for my age so it’s likely I will be long haired. This will need some brushing to keep it in good condition. Lucky I love attention.
I’m you’re looking for a handsome, chatty man with a big personality with a lot of love to give I might be the guy for you.
PS - I am litter trained.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
