Ayla is a teeny tiny sweetheart. She has a lot of love to give and is a perfect lap dog once she gets to know you. She is seeking a very understanding family that will give her the time to come out of her shell as she is extremely timid and will need someone to be patient with her while you gain her trust. Once you do, she is just the cuddliest and most lovable little girl.
This little lass is currently in care with 2 adults and 2 other small dogs. Although she is slowly learning how to play with her foster siblings, Ayla is not keen on being approached by new dogs. She is toilet trained and will sleep in her bed all night although she would be more than happy to share yours too if you let her! She would also need a safe place to go to if she finds the world around her too overwhelming.
Ayla would best suit a quiet home with no children; older teenagers and adults are her ideal dynamic. She would also suit someone who is home a lot of the time as she does have some separation anxiety. Her new family members also need to be fairly fit and mobile so you can get down to her level to earn her trust. She would also be fine as an only dog or with another calm and friendly small dog as company. She does enjoy having a play but will need to be given some space and time to get used to her doggy companion.
Ayla doesnāt require lots of exercise but does love her walks around the neighbourhood. She is fine walking on lead. Ayla is only just learning to trust humans and needs to continue to be shown that when she does relax her guard she will be rewarded with lots of love and cuddles. If you decide to give Ayla the chance to be a part of your family, she will honour you with lots of doggy kisses and will devote herself entirely to you.
No cats or other small pets please, as Ayla does have a prey drive which is a common trait of her breed mix.
