About Ruby
Introducing RUBY, a female Jack Russell terrier born on 14 January 2018.
Ruby was surrendered to us by a gentleman who was ill-equipped to deal with her energetic, intense and determined temperament, which is so typical of Jack Russells.
True to her breed, Ruby is a cheerful, robust and highly intelligent little dog with a love for human companionship. She is a quick learner and eager to please. She is NOT a barker and has shown no interest in digging or climbing.
A well-adjusted dog, Ruby has settled into her new foster home without missing a beat. She is dog-friendly, but has not been exposed to cats. She is not chook-friendly.
Ruby has good recall and is happy to come when called for her dinner, a play or a pat. She would be well suited to a family home with older children as she has an unlimited appetite for play and games. She loves water games and tennis balls.
Ruby is definitely not suited to a solitary or sedate lifestyle. To be happy and content, she needs lots of exercise and stimulation and plenty of human company. Having said that, she enjoys long snoozes during the day and doesn't make a peep all night. She is not an apartment dog and is definitely not suited to people who work full-time.
Ruby would be fine as an only dog, provided her humans are around most of the time.
She has a healthy appetite, but is definitely not overweight.
Her adoption fee is $950 and she is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
