About Ewok
Ewok is described as a 'grumpy old soul' by his previous owner. He was surrendered to the RSPCA Animal Care Centre with his big little sister Roxie, and we were hoping to get them a new home together. Tragically, Roxie developed what the vets believe was a splenic tumour which ruptured. She was seen by a vet but her prognosis was not good and she was humanely euthanised. Ewok was present for this, and we believe he understands what happened, but is still lost without her. Now he needs a loving family to help him get his happy back.
Being a shih-tzu mix, Ewok can get nippy when he has had enough play time. He loves pats and attention though, but he is getting on in years and doesn't have the energy that he used to. His previous owner had Ewok from an 8 week old puppy and he has seen three babies born and grow up around him.
Ewok had quite bad teeth when he arrived, and the vet found two lumps during his exam, so he has had a full dental and two lump removals. We reccommend a Hills Science Diet senior dog food diet to keep his teeth in shape and help his health as he grows older. He has also had a bath and groom and the Animal Care Centre, and will need regular brushing and grooming to keep him looking good.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
