About Dobby
Dobby is sweet 6 month old kitten who really wants to go home. He is super sweet, enjoys pats and cuddles, is affectionate and playful and would fit into most families. He is really friendly and receptive to new people and if you pick him up he puts his two front paws on your shoulders and just loves to be cuddled. Whats more, he doesn't want you to put him down. It's so cute!
Dobby has been diagnosed with cat flu and we have worked with our vet over the last couple of months to try and clear it completely, however he still sneezes from time to time and sometimes has bit of a runny nose. Generally once cats get over the flu the virus remains dormant but it can be triggered by stress and it's likely that this is why these symptoms have persisted at SAFE. It is more than likely that once Dobby is rehomed and can relax and cuddle to his hearts content, they will disappear.
It's not that often we get such a loving cat. Dobby has soooo much love to give and you would be a very lucky person to adopt him!
Medical notes
Dobby has the cat flu virus. Once infected cats carry this virus for the rest of their lives, however symptoms may arise in times of stress. Despite being treated Dobby still exhibits a nasal discharge and some sneezing. As he has been in a shelter environment for some time the vet attributes the persistence of these symptoms to stress and believes that once rehomed they should disappear completely.
