Jedd is a very cute and gorgeous little dog who loves to be smothered with lots of love and attention. Council's animal shelter is a cooperative approach between sutherland shire council and city of sydney council that houses dogs and cats which have been found stray, abandoned, or seized. If animals cannot be returned to its owner, the shelter seeks new homes for them. The shelter operates under a 'low-kill' policy, whereby only a dog or cat assessed to be either a danger or having an illness that would affect its quality of life is euthanased. All dogs and cats rehoused are desexed, lifetime registered, vaccinated and microchipped. They also leave the shelter with a collar and council made tag and are worm & flea treated
