Hi there!

My name is Tex.

I'm an affectionate and playful boy who absolutely LOVES toys! Especially tennis balls. In fact, I actually prefer tennis balls to roast chicken and and could play with them all day long. However, I do have a heart murmur so I need my new family to understand when to stop me from playing as my little heart cant keep up with my playfulness.

I have been on walks with other dogs while at the shelter but I would prefer to be your only dog and I would also like to be able to come inside the house when I need to so hopefully I can sleep inside the house too. I tend to be a quiet boy in the kennel and in the yard where I like to lay in the shade or play with tennis balls.

Sometimes I find it hard to give up the tennis balls from my mouth, but I have been learning to 'give' so would have to go home to a family who has no children under 12 and my owner will need to be experience and understand basic cues like sit and give without forcing me and be able to know how to motivate me during training using force free methods.
