About Hank ~ 6 y/o Ragdoll x (on trial 14/3/21)
Meet the very handsome Hank, or "Cat" as he is affectionately known, just like the cat in Breakfast at Tiffany's. He is a 6 year old Ragdoll cross who is looking for a quiet home to nap in the sun and spend some time in the garden on his harness and lead.
As you can see in the photos, Hank is harness trained and he loves spending time outside with his humans. He is currently living in a caravan and enjoys spending the day on his long line rolling in the dirt or curled up on a camp chair. Hank is a strictly indoor only cat unless he is on his harness and lead.
Hank is a funny boy, he loves affection but on his terms. He will happily sit and receive pats for a few minutes but he isn't a lap cat. He will tell you when he's had enough by swatting your hand away with his little paw.
There have been a few interactions with dogs that Hank seemed to do well with so a calm cat-friendly dog should be okay for him as long as he has a tall scratching post to retreat to. He has never been exposed to other cats so it would be best for him to go to a home with no other cats.
Hank is going to need someone patient as he is a little bit of a scaredy-cat with new people and new environments so will need someone to give him a bit of time while he settles in. He loves his food so that is always a good bonding tool! We always suggest hand-feeding for building trust.
He is a sweet boy but is very independent and prefers to do his own thing for most of the day. He would suit a full-time worker who would just like a bit of company when they get home at the end of the day or a cat to keep them company while they potter around in the garden.
Hank would be best suited to an adult-only home or children in high school. When he is feeling playful he can be a little rough so young skin and older skin could be a bit too fragile for his claws.
Hank is located in Singleton, NSW and available for adoption to an indoor only home. His adoption fee is $150 and he is fully litterbox trained, desexed, microchipped and fully up to date with vaccinations.
