About Chief ~ 1yr Old Great Dane X (On Trial 14/8/21)
Hi Everyone, my name is Chief, and I am a 1yr Old Great Dane X which basically means I'm a great big ball of love.
As soon as I see you, I will be wrapped around you or sitting with a paw up to hold hands with you. I love absolutely everyone and get super excited to see you.
I’ve been in care for about a month now, and my foster carer has been working with me to learn my manners.
Sometimes when I get a bit too excited, I like to jump up on you to give you cuddles, so I will need my new family to continue reminding me. I would best suit a family with previous big dog experience and one without any small humans (0-5yrs) as I may unintentionally bowl them over in my excitement.
I am also learning to walk on a leash, and I don’t pull away from you, but I take really big steps so sometimes I need help to slow down a little. I'd love an active family who will take me for all of the walks and adventures.
I love cuddling up to toys, and I am very food-oriented. I haven’t spent too much time inside yet, but haven’t had any accidents, and love to be wherever you are.
My foster mum thinks I would love to be an inside dog and share cuddles with you on the lounge. I'm a good boy so I'm sure this can be arranged.
I will grow up to be a large sized dog and would benefit from continuing with obedience training due to my size. Again a family with experience in big dogs is highly preferred. I love my foster carers dog and have not shown any aggression to their cats, but as I’m still a puppy, can be a little too excitable for them.
My new home ideally will have another playmate for me who is calm and tolerant of my playful ways, and someone I can learn from. I love to be able to see my foster carers through the door even when I am outside and will wait patiently for you to come and play with me. I really am the bestest boy.
