Wallawari is a sensitive soul with the most expressive eyes.
He is a timid boy who is being exposed to various situations whilst in care.
Wallawari has learnt how to socialise with both dogs, cats, and people, and is slowly coming out of his shell, proving to be a happy and loving boy.
He has also determined that pats and cuddles are wonderful, and will actively seek you out for attention. He will reward you with a nice hello and tail wag.
He is currently living with two cats (ignores them), and being socialised with two other large breed dogs at home, and is calm around them.
Wallawari absolutely loves his daily walks and demands at least 60 minutes out and about which can be split over the day. However, this is also where he is lead reactive, and will require a firm handler who can teach him that he needs to be just as polite on lead as he is at home.
For the rest of the day, he is happy to lounge about or follow you around.
He does require a calm household, and to ensure he bonds with you, he would love his family to be home most of the day. However, you can leave him alone for 2-3 hours, and he is fine.
Any kids would need to be older, and understand that he is not a dog who will play, or throw the ball around with, but will happily roll around in the grass whilst you play or garden. He is a fabulous companion dog.
Wallawari is still learning about how wonderful life can be and would benefit from ongoing socialisation and training, and an understanding and patient family who will give him time to settle and allow him to trust and accept you in his own terms.
