About Elenna
Meet stunning Elenna, our adorable and sweet loving Maremma girl. She takes a little bit to warm up to you (especially males) but when she does, she will give you her whole heart.
Maremma Sheepdogs are very devoted to their jobs, so they would fit best in a farm setting where they can look after livestock. Bred to be independent thinkers, these dogs are confident protective, though not easy to train or socialize. Their large size and free spirit also require a lot of outdoor space to roam with fencing to keep them from going too far. If these dogs are socialized at a young age, they can become good family dogs, while still needing lots of space and dedication to training. They do get along well with other dogs and their own human family, but not with strangers or anyone with whom they’re not familiar — making them well-suited as watchdogs, too.
Elenna is great with kids, dogs, and other animals including cats. She loves exploring the outdoors and also being with her people. Elenna is fully toilet trained, can sit, wait for food, knows commands come, inside, outside and no. She loves to play, squeaky toys etc, still a big pup by nature. She tends to be afraid of different things/noises so will need patience and understanding, she will come out of her shell in her own time.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.

Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
