About Bailey
Bailey is a gorgeous dog, with a loving personality, however she is not a dog for just anybody. Beagle's were traditionally bred as hunting dogs and once they get onto the scent of something they simply focus on that one thing and can be extremely stubborn when it comes to listening to simple commands.
True to beagle nature, Bailey loves to use her ability to sniff and can sometimes get a little bit carried away and not concentrate on how far she's gone. Therefore, Bailey's new home MUST have secure fencing and she needs to be given plenty of exercise along with the right mental stimulation. Beagles aren't just a breed for anybody. They require lots of training, exercise and mental stimulation to avoid them becoming bored and destructive. With minimal training in her past it is vital that Bailey attends obedience classes to help learn her doggie manners, help keep her mind stimulated and help her to form a strong bond with her new owner. With her eager to please nature and the right encouragement, praise and reward this young girl will try her best to become the star pupil. Please research the breed or ask shelter staff before considering adopting a beagle.
