About Toby
Meet Toby!
When he came into care he was unsure of what was happening and his new surroundings and took a day to warm up to my fosters carers; but you should see him now!
He is loving life and is just such a beautiful and loving boy. He is very energetic and playful for a while and then like to lay down close to you and sleep. He can sleep outside with the other dogs, but you would risk bedding being destroyed.
Toby loves to sit next to you on the lounge - first play and then sleep. He is very affectionate and loves giving kisses.
Being still young Toby does come with all the puppies traits: jumping, chewing, etc. If he does chew something he should not have, he is very apologetic. He does chew only when left alone and would surely benefit from further training both mentally and physically. He has learnt to come when called and sit - even the lead is not so frightening anymore. He trains well with treats and is nearly housebroken. Rarely an accident now.
Toby would enjoy having another doggie to play with - has to be a patient one mind you, as he can be very persistent with playtime. He also can annoy the cats by licking them and putting his rather big paw on them, bit of nibbling and chasing - so supervision is a must!
Toby thinks kids are fun too, (best if they are older), as he can't quite contain his excitement sometimes and could accidentally hurt them.
He looks like a miniature German Shepherd with big ears which are mostly floppy, but can stand up when excited. His colouring is sable with a bit of brindle.
Toby is intelligent and a fast learner and would be an asset to anyone lucky enough to adopt him.
