About Lucky & Dusty ~ 16 week old (on trial 01/05/2021)
Lucky and Dusty are 16 week old siblings - two of 'The Three Amigos' - who were rescued from a pound in the Upper Hunter. The Three Amigos arrived into care absolutely terrified, as they’d had limited contact with people. Amazingly, even after just one week, these brave kittens showed remarkable progress and had started to come out of their shell and show hints of their cheeky gorgeous natures. They have both continued to thrive and adjust with lots of TLC from their foster carer.
Lucky has adjusted to people a lot quicker than his sister Dusty, and is a lovely friendly little guy. Lucky will happily wander up to you and start purring loudly looking for a pat. He is super loveable. Lucky has more white on his coat than Dusty, and a cute little black moustache.
Dusty is taking a little longer to adjust and her new family will need to be patient and gentle with her as she is still quite timid until she gets to know you. Dusty will often startle easily with loud unexpected noises but she is continuing to improve each day. When Dusty gets to know you, she will happily wander up to you and enjoy a pat. Dusty likes to follow Lucky's lead and obviously feels safer with him around. Dusty has the cutest black and white features, with two perfectly placed black dots in the middle of her nose! Dusty will happily play and wrestle with her brother and is fun to watch.
Lucky and Dusty have been exposed to her carer’s dog, but they're still not quite brave enough to be friends. Lucky and Dusty aren't fussed by their foster carer’s adult cats. These siblings would be suited to a home with children over 8 years old who understand the need to be patient, calm and gentle with Dusty in particular. Any dogs in their new home would need to be calm and cat friendly. Lucky and Dusty are fully litter trained and have very healthy appetites.
Lucky and Dusty need to be adopted together because they are extremely bonded and Dusty relies on her brother for confidence. It is recommended by cat behaviourists that kittens have a playmate and forever friend for an enriched life. All of our past adopters can attest to the fact that two kittens/cats is better than one!
Lucky and Dusty are available to an indoor-only home and their adoption fee is $400 for both. Lucky and Dusty are in foster care in Singleton, NSW and have been vaccinated, microchipped and desexed.
