About Bo ~ 1.5yr Old Lab (On Trial 4/2/21)
Meet Bo the 1.5YO loving Labrador. In his current foster home he is best known to love all humans, kids to come to visit, especially those that will give him cuddles when he asks for them. He will definitely be leaving a piece of himself behind when he gets adopted!
Bo was much loved by his previous owner but they were unable to continue committing to a life where he would be walked and socialised everyday. Bo was once an inside dog where the only spots he knew were the bed or lounge and this is where he became overweight after some time. This has caused issues with his hind legs.
Since coming into care Bo has had weekly injections by a vet to assist in his recovery. Initially the vet thought he may have needed surgery if the injections didn’t work but after a few weeks the vet and Bo’s foster carer have seen a major improvement. Bo currently has tinned food along with a short walk every day to aide his recovery and build up the muscles in his hind legs. His new owners would need to commit to daily short walks everyday to assist him with his weight loss.
Bo loves his walks and is well on lead. He woofs when he sees other dogs at times - he would love the chance to socialise at his own pace. He enjoys being able to sniff everything new. He loves having a backyard to roam and run around in - he loves to chase birds. He is untested with cats. He loves to play fetch and ball.
Bo is outside during the day and is allowed inside when his humans are home. Bo does occasionally whine/ howl cry and bark when no one is home There is nothing more that Bo would love than to enjoy time with his humans, so his preference is with a family with people that are home more often than not and ideally a home with humans 8 years and older. He sleeps inside of the night, is toilet trained and knows how to sit.
