About Max
Max is a beautiful, well natured beagle x harrier. He’s a sweet snuggly boy who would love nothing more than to sit and be patted all day. He’s had a very rough start to life and has had trouble finding a forever home who can commit to him. Previous homes have found when he’s left alone he can be destructive, however he’s a sweet boy who just loves attention.
Max is longing for a home with another doggie friend to play with.
His pass times include submerging his head in his water bowl, chewing, chasing and his life passion, sniffing. Everything and everyone.
He is a beagle, this is a breed that can rarely be taken off leash because of limited recall when on a scent. Please keep this in mind. His recall is improving but it’s not where it need to be. He can also play bite and has a stubborn streak.
Please do not apply if you:
⁃ Don’t have another dog
⁃ Don’t have time to commit to training
⁃ Have kids under 12
⁃ Don’t have a large secure backyard
Max will unfortunately not suit your home
Max is being trained to walk on lead properly, to not jump up, to redirect his chewing. This training will need to be continued.
