Murphy was one of 7 in his litter and the only one to survive. He was very close to death when taken to Lort Smith and has shown he’s a miracle boy. His Mum Maeve and he adore each other!
Murphy manages very well with only one good eye and has no problem running or playing. He loves to play with his mum and with his human. He can get a little possessive of his toys so it’s best to play with a toy on a wand or let him run after a soft ball, one he can carry away in his mouth.
He is blind in his eye, but has been to Andrew Turner, the eye specialist who said its not causing him any problems so there is no need to remove it. He’s happy to have a chat with anyone interested in adopting Murphy and Maeve.
Maeve is a young cat who is still learning how to “cat” after not having the best start in life. If she is given plenty of time to relax into her new surroundings, she is a very thoughtful and playful cat. She lost six of her seven kittens so is very close to her remaining kitten, Murphy and they have to be rehomed together. They love to sleep and play together. Maeve will hypnotise you with her deep stare and will watch everything you do. It will take time for her to trust you and allow you to gently touch her but it will be worth the wait. She gurgles and trills when she is looking for Murphy and will care for him like he is still a baby kitten.
