About Ruby
Ruby is a tiny bundle of joy. She is always happy and excited to see you and has endless love and affection to give. Ruby could run around playing with toys all day, but can also sit on the couch cuddling for the whole weekend.
Ruby lives with another medium sized dog and a big cat - she loves and adores them both. Ruby will often mother the other pets by cleaning them in a very gentle way, which the other pets thoroughly enjoy.
Ruby loves food and snacks, she eats home cooked chicken, rice and veg for dinner every night and has a little bit of dry food of a morning. She is not a picky eater and does well to stay out of her brothers bowl while he is eating.
As far as toys are concerned, Ruby will play with anything. She is particularly partial to balls and could play for hours if allowed. Ruby loves snuggling up under soft and fluffy blankets. She is very good at recognising her bed and she follows the command 'in your bed' incredibly well.
Ruby is great with little and big kids. While she does not live with any, there are often little visitors to the home and Ruby is very tolerant with them.
Ruby loves getting out of the house but can get a little over excited so it takes her a little while to settle and relax while in the car. Similarly with walking, she is very excitable in the beginning and will calm after a period of time.
Ruby has a great personality, she is adorable and funny. She rolls on her back as if to ask for belly rubs, so insists that her new humans provide these!
Ruby would adapt well to most environments. She would do best in a home where someone was present majority of the time as she does not like being left alone for long periods. Ruby can be nervous around big dogs because she is so tiny, but she has made friends with bigger dogs when supported to do so.
Ruby is frightened of storms and fireworks and requires a little extra love and affection on these occasions.
Ruby's adoption is an assisted adoption via PetRescue's Home2Home program. You will be speaking with Ruby's owner when you enquire.
Medical notes
Ruby is a happy and healthy little lady.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of adoption fee. Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
