Marigold ~ 1 year old female cat

Marigold is a lovely, confident, petite 1 year old lady. On top of her sweet and sunny personality, Marigold has the most stunning torbie (tortoiseshell/tabby) coat! Marigold has already had a litter of kittens even though she’s only just finished being a kitten herself! They were all surrendered to the pound by her owner and then came into foster care while her kittens finished weaning.

Marigold has already had a few bumps in her short life, but would flourish and bring so much sunshine to a stable quiet forever home. She loves to have someone around and will follow you from room to room. At first Marigold kept a little bit of mystery about her, and preferred to sit 'with' rather than 'on' her humans. Now that she is comfortable in care, she is quite the little lap cat!

Marigold is stunning, adaptable, confident, curious, and doesn’t mind being picked up. Like all cats she loves a good snooze but equally enjoys peering out of the window and the occasional scamper on top of a 2 metre cupboard, up a fly screen chasing after a fly, zoomies after ping-pong balls and ducking under couches and beds.

Marigold was very stressed when in a foster home with dogs so we moved to a quieter house. She doesn’t do well with loud noises and would be unpredictable with young children so kids over 8 would be best. Marigold could live with a calm companion animal the same age/size or as a single cat. She currently lives with a male cat who she adores and they love to cuddle and clean each other. She is an independent girl and would do fine with a full time worker but she is much happier when she knows you are home.

Marigold must be an indoor only cat to protect native animals from her hunting skills, so you need good screens or maybe an outdoor enclosure.

She is kitty litter trained and eats just about any food put in front of her.

Marigold is desexed, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped and lives in Fletcher, Newcastle and her adoption fee is $180.
