We are assisting someone to help find Moochie a home - please note that she is not at the Just Cats Shelter, she is in a boarding Facility...

Moochie is now ready for adoption - It's been a long and traumatic journey for this young lady since her mum went into care and she lost her friend Munchkin, but now comes the most important part for this sweet little girl..... finding her purrfect new forever family. As previously advised, three year old Moochie had lived all her life with her elderly mum and was the apple of her mum's eye. Moochie would not be suitable in a home with young children and a quieter home would be preferable. If her human was at home for parts of the day that would be ideal. Moochie is a strictly indoors cat.

Newly adopted animal friends coming into a new home require time to adjust to their changed circumstances. As they start to feel safe and their anxiety subsides, a slow introduction to their new family and other fur family members is what is needed but very often introductions start being made within just a couple of days after adoption and far too much is expected in these early days. Whether it is days, weeks or sometimes months for cats (and dogs) to become comfortable and feel safe in a new home environment, it just takes the time it takes. Trying to rush the process before they are ready is very unfair on newly adopted animal family members.
