About Lucky
Lucky is a young, excitable and active KelpieX seeking a home that will fulfill his needs in life.
Like most kelpies Lucky enjoys being physically active with his owner and would benefit greatly in a home with somebody who loves to run. He will need regular training and mental stimulation to tire him out. He is currently living in foster care with other medium size dogs and has a playful side, so can go to a home with or without other dogs.
Like most dogs that come into foster care, Lucky was missing adequate training to make him a good doggy citizen in life, so his new home must be committed to continuing him in his training regime so he can excel in life and to learn how to behave in various environments and circumstances. Lucky's problem in life was lacking impulse control and proper leadership so was allowed to display poor manners in certain circumstances.
He is currently working on these behaviors in foster care and his new home will be given advice to continue him further and how to set him up. for success in life.
He is a very smart little dude and excels well in his training sessions, he would make an awesome candidate for somebody who is interested in
participating in canine sports such as flyball or agility. He loves to chase the ball but has not learnt to bring it back. He loves to swim in the dam, travels well in the car, is crate trained, has some basic obedience under his belt.
He is not suitable for a home with kids. He is not cat tested.
