Hello, we’re Rupert and Siena! We’re brother and sister.
We occasionally snuggle and groom each other, but most of the time we’re happy doing our own thing. We’re both very easy cats who snooze most of the day and love a cuddle. Because we’re a bit older, we know all the house rules - we’re very good at using the litter box and being quiet at night. We still like to play with a string like kittens though!
Here’s a little bit about our individual personalities:
I’m Rupert! I’m the one with the darker coloured fur with the white socks. I loooove sitting on laps and I’ll be there in a flash as soon as you sit down. I love meeting new people and I always need to be close to humans when they’re home.
I’m Siena. I’ve got the orange, brown and white fur and I’m very fluffy and soft. I’m the more timid of the two but I still love to curl up on a bed and sit close to you on the couch.
We’re both are very chatty and love pats and being around their people. We’re looking for a cosy home with a family who will give us plenty of cuddles and attention when they’re at home. Preferably not with young children as we like a more quiet lifestyle in our old age. We hope we can meet you and have lots of cuddle and pats soon!

We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.

The adoption fee includes de-sexing, micro-chip, current vaccination, flea and worm treatment while in care.
Rupert and Siena have both been diagnosed with dental disease and has had a dental procedure which may have included teeth extractions, however dental disease required ongoing monitoring and may progress further.
Dental disease or Periodontal disease is very common in cats and dogs because unlike us they don’t brush their teeth! It is the formation of plaque and bacteria on the teeth causing inflammation of the gums (gingivitis). As dental disease progresses the gums separate from the teeth and pockets to the roots of the teeth form allowing access for bacteria to create tooth root abscesses and teeth eventually rot and fall out. Untreated dental disease is very painful and dangerous to your pet’s health as it can cause secondary chest infections and permanently damage the liver and kidneys shortening their life span.
Adopters can prevent dental disease by feeding them a dental friendly diet – these have bigger size kibble, giving dental treats like greenies, giving RAW chicken necks or wings a couple of times a week – these are tasty and chewie, adding Plaque Off to their diets. This is a powder that helps prevent new tartar binding to their teeth. Pets already suffering from dental disease may need a dental procedure to clean all the tartar from their teeth and remove any damaged teeth. Most Vet clinics offer FREE dental check-ups and we strongly recommend taking advantage of these every three months as they can assess your pet’s teeth and help tailor a dental regime purrfect for you.

Please be advised that if you should find that you are not a purrfect match, or if you need to rehome your new pet at any stage of its life, Maneki Neko Cat Rescue will take the cat back into care and find a new home.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue provides a 7 day health warranty on all adoptions. Although all our cats and kittens are health checked prior to adoption, sometimes the stress of a new environment can upset their immune system.
