Looking for a snugglebug? Meet Arc!

Arc is very affectionate, loves to cuddle & kiss with adults and children alike. He'll snuggle up on the lounge with you and is equally happy to be on the floor or in his bed. He's been good with the children he's met but can get a bit jumpy.

He is very intelligent & learns quickly, especially with treats as the motivator. Whilst in care, he has learnt to come in through the doggy door, walks beautifully on lead, has basic manners and is coming along really well with toilet training too.

Arc loves his toys & will play with them when he‘s energised, rather than try to chew other things. Playing with humans & other dogs is a favourite time of day and he's learnt to be gentle with the smaller dog that he used to share a foster home with & ignore the cats in the family. Currently in care with a larger dog.

A very social boy, he has been great meeting other dogs whilst out and about, whether it be on or off leash and doesn't bark when he sees them. For his age, he is very relaxed, placid, doesn't jump up or go crazy.

Arc will need a home that will ensure his ongoing training and socialisation so he can grow into a well mannered gent. He'll require good activity to keep his brain engaged and to meet his mental stimulation needs, especially being an intelligent dog so he doesn't get bored and do naughty things! You will need to demonstrate that you understand this concept and how you intend to meet it specifically.

You should be willing to include him as a family member with inside / outside access, sleeping inside on a comfy bed, preferably close to his humans and have snuggle time on the couch. Arc does enjoy his quiet time too, so a nice little quiet spot for him to nap would be ideal.

Arc will require moderate exercise, at minimum, a good daily walk and some doggy play time. He will likely be around 40kg when fully grown, so having larger dog experience would be a plus.

At this stage, we will be preferencing homes with another playful dog at home. We will consider exceptional applicants without a dog but where someone home most days. He is not suited to being left alone all day and will thrive in an active, loving home with plenty of human and doggy interactions.

We will only consider apartment living or homes with no yard if you can demonstrate how you will meet his physical and mental stimulation needs sufficiently.
