About Kazi
Are you holding on tight? Because Kazi's going to take you on a wild ride! After screaming for the best part of an hour on the drive to her carer's house it's hard to believe that this little firecracker has since been described as a near perfect foster puppy.
Why so?
- she's 99% toilet trained
- she's crate and puppy pen trained (she doesn't get free reign inside the house and she's completely fine with that)
- she sleeps through the night
- she doesn't chew on her bedding
- she doesn't dig
- she waits patiently for her meals to be prepared
- she's super smart
- she's afraid of nothing
- she's happy to cuddle or be on her own, she's not needy (is she even a Staffy mix?!)
- she's respectful of the foster senior dog's space
- she greets new dogs appropriately
- she loves to chase and play tug (harness that drive and her obedience training will be a dream)
- she's good with kids
- she travels well in the car these days and her screaming is almost a distant memory
Sounds pretty awesome, hey? So why only near perfect? Well, she can be a little turd sometimes. She's become best friends with the 2yo blockhead she's living with but when they're playing she can go from zero to "too much" pretty quickly (and unfortunately he doesn't care when she bites him or hangs out of his jowls!). Because of this we're looking for a particular type of home.
Kazi's perfect adopter will:
- be experienced in owning powerful dogs
- have raised a puppy before
- be firm but fair
- be looking for a project puppy to train from near perfect to perfect - we know she has bucketloads of potential
- be home most days and or have another dog and if you do have a dog, ideally it would be an adult male dog who enjoys to play but will also put Kazi in her place when she gets too much.
- promise not to judge the foster carer for crying like a baby when her near perfect puppy leaves!
These are on top of all the usual things we want for our dogs and puppies - they're inside/outside dogs, part of the family, fed a healthy diet (she's currently on raw and Ziwi Peak), exercised daily and well socialised. She came into care with a skin issue so she's on Antinol Rapid and will go home with a trial bottle so the adopter can continue supplementing her with it.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
