About Marco
Marco is a sensational young pup with a healthy sense of fun and adventure.
To avoid disappointment, please read his profile carefully and only apply if you meet the criteria.
Marco requires an experienced leader and a desexed female dog (not a senior) to offer him guidance and, along with his family, help him learn what is expected from him.
Marco looks like a life size cuddly toy and has the most striking green eyes which attract comments from whoever comes across him. He has had a wonderful time playing with his foster sister (a Great Dane) and brother (a cattle dog) whilst in foster care - so he must be homed with a confident and friendly mature female dog to play wrestling games with but also to keep him in line if he begins to get a bit too rough.
Marco has also been in care with his female litter mate and on occasion he has shown signs of resource guarding around her with food and toys so his new family would need to make sure he is kindly but firmly put in his place if he shows signs that he is getting a little too big for his boots.
Marco can be a little hesitant in new situations and can show his fear by barking at new people or animals. However, he doesn’t take long to warm up and once he is given a bit of time to approach new people or situations at his own pace, he is off and running! Further introductions at a comfortable pace will help Marco continue building his confidence in new situations.
Marco has been living with 3 cats in foster care and while he is interested in them, he will
let them walk past him without any fuss. He has also been on many walks around a country estate where he has had close up interactions with sheep, horses, alpacas and cows. Again, he is interested in them but is easily distracted and has shown no aggression towards them.
Marco is fabulous with the children he has met whilst in foster care - he loves lots of cuddles and kisses but would not be a dog that young children could pick up and carry around like a toy. Children aged 8 years and over would make good buddies for this beautiful boy.
Marco is mostly toilet trained but needs to be reminded to go outside regularly, otherwise he just loves choosing the most comfiest area of carpet to relieve himself. He has slept outside in a crate whilst in foster care and still cries a little to begin with but settles quickly. He would be fine to sleep inside - provided he is allowed outside in the middle of the night to go to the toilet. A doggy door could be an advantage.
Considering he is going to grow into a medium to large sized boy, he will need a good sized yard when him and his doggy pal have plenty of room to run and play. Apartment/court yards etc will not be a good fit for Marco or his siblings.
Marco is a medium energy dog and loves a regular walk every day with some time playing with toys - and then he’s happy to just chill out and snooze the rest of the day away.
Marco’s ideal family would include him in all their adventures and give him every opportunity to fulfil his potential as the perfect family pet.
Marco will not be suitable to a home as an only dog or a home where he will not get to spend any time indoors to create a bond with his new family.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
